Try out Chef Barbara's Cherry Plum Crumble! This adorable little fruit is about the size of a small plum. It has a gorgeous red-purple hue and a cherry-like stem. Not only is it the perfect aesthetic crossover of a cherry and plum—it’s the perfect flavor combination, too. Cherry plums have the perfect amount of cherry tartness and mellow sweetness from plums for a craveable summer treat.
Ingredients
- 12 cherry plums pitted, quartered
- 1/2 cup cherry preserves
- 1 1/4 cups oatmeal-cookie mix (17.5-oz. pkg.)
- 5 tablespoons chilled unsalted butter, chopped
- Vanilla ice cream, for serving
Preparation
Preheat oven to 400 degrees . In greased, foil-lined 7-by-11-inch baking dish, toss plums and preserves. In bowl, combine cookie mix and butter. Scatter over plums; bake 30 minutes. Serve with ice cream. Wonderful late summer treat
